Learning Lodge Academy stands as a premier preschool dedicated to providing a high-quality early childhood education. We are committed to fostering a nurturing and engaging environment where children thrive and develop a lifelong love for learning. Our programs are designed to meet and exceed state requirements, ensuring your child receives the best possible start to their educational journey.
Qualified and Caring Instructional Staff
At Learning Lodge Academy, our educators are the heart of our program. We hire professionals who not only meet but exceed state requirements, possessing a minimum of 40 hours of childcare training and CPR & First Aid certification. Recognizing the importance of continuous growth, our staff actively participate in ongoing, on-site professional development. This commitment ensures they deliver high-quality lessons that are both literacy-focused and engaging, utilizing proven Kagan Cooperative Learning methods.
For our Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program, we ensure the highest standards. All VPK teachers hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and continuously engage in specialized trainings provided by the Early Learning Coalition. Our teachers are passionate about employing highly engaging cooperative learning techniques throughout their lessons, specifically designed to prepare children for a successful transition to elementary school and future academic endeavors.
Comprehensive and Engaging Curriculum
The curriculum at Learning Lodge Academy is thoughtfully structured to align with the standards set by the Department of Education, Office of Early Learning for the VPK Program. We extend this commitment to excellence across all our preschool classrooms, ensuring every student benefits from a high-quality preschool experience.
Learning Lodge Academy proudly utilizes the Scholastic Big Day PreK Series, a comprehensive curriculum designed to foster early literacy, numeracy, and essential skills. Furthermore, we integrate character building into our daily routines through Kagan Cooperative Learning methods and the principles of the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. This holistic approach ensures the development of well-rounded children, both academically and socially.
Dress and Appearance Policy
To promote a focused and respectful learning environment, Learning Lodge Academy has a uniform policy for all preschool children. Details regarding the uniform requirements are available in our Preschool Handbook, ensuring clarity and consistency for all families.
Nutritious Lunch and Snacks
Learning Lodge Academy provides both a morning and afternoon snack to all enrolled children. Please note that snacks are not provided to VPK-only students; however, they are included for VPK students enrolled in our wrap-around program. Parents are asked to provide their child with a nutritious lunch daily, including an ice pack to maintain food safety.
Records, Registration, and Supplies
For registration at Learning Lodge Academy, certain records and forms are required to ensure the health and well-being of all our students and to comply with legal requirements. These include Health and Immunization records, a completed registration packet, and payment of applicable fees. Specifically, the Health Examination Form (HRS Form 3040-Student Health Examinations) and Immunization Record (HRS Form 680 – Florida Certificate of Immunization) are mandatory as per Florida law. Supply lists for 2, 3, & 4-year-old classes (including VPK wrap-around children, but excluding VPK-only children) are provided upon registration, making preparation easy for parents.

Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) is a valuable free prekindergarten program available for children aged 4 and 5. To be eligible for the VPK program at Learning Lodge Academy, children must be 4 years old on or before September 1st of the enrollment year.
