This option provides you with a dedicated peer educator who will meet with you for an hour each week throughout the academic quarter. To ensure that weekly tutoring is the right fit and to tailor the sessions to your individual requirements, we require a brief Tutoring Needs Assessment. This 30-minute appointment allows us to discuss your specific learning goals and establish clear expectations for your tutoring sessions.
Weekly tutoring sessions are scheduled for the same day and time each week, providing a predictable and reliable support structure. Sessions can be conducted one-on-one for focused attention or shared with another student from the same course section, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Weekly tutoring commences in the third week of each quarter and continues until the end of the quarter. We strongly encourage students to register for weekly tutoring early in the quarter to maximize the benefits of consistent, ongoing support offered by our Learning Assistance Program.

Important Note: While our Learning Assistance Program excels in providing support for subjects like Math, Science, Nursing, and Modern Languages, we recognize the unique nature of humanities courses such as History, English, Philosophy, and Theology. Due to the diverse content and instructor styles in these fields, direct tutoring may not be the most effective approach. However, our commitment to your academic success extends to these subjects as well. Through Individual Consultation Appointments (ICAs), we can guide you in developing effective study strategies and approaches tailored to these courses, ensuring you still benefit from our Learning Assistance Program. Furthermore, for courses outside our direct tutoring scope, we are dedicated to connecting you with other valuable campus resources that can provide specialized assistance.
