LinkedIn Learning is a powerhouse for professional development, offering a vast library of courses designed to boost your career skills. While much of its content requires a subscription, there’s a treasure trove of Free Linkedin Learning courses that come with certificates of completion. We’ve done the digging for you at Class Central, and compiled a guide to help you access over 460 hours of valuable learning – all completely free and with certificates to prove your accomplishments.

The Rise of Free Learning on LinkedIn Learning

The surge in free offerings on LinkedIn Learning began in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognizing the need for accessible digital skills training, Microsoft generously made 14 LinkedIn Learning paths freely available. Class Central, a leading resource for online education discovery, quickly shared these learning paths with free certificates and curated a wider collection of free pandemic educational resources, which resonated with nearly a million learners.

Since then, we at Class Central have been diligently monitoring LinkedIn Learning’s catalog, which boasts nearly 10,000 courses and over 600 learning paths. Our goal? To pinpoint the courses that offer both free access and valuable certificates. In 2022, our efforts uncovered 137 courses and 7 learning paths with free certificates, alongside 378 completely free courses – totaling approximately 1000 hours of free learning. While the landscape has shifted, with the peak of 1000 hours in 2022 decreasing to around 110 hours in 2024, we’re excited to report a resurgence to over 460 hours of free LinkedIn Learning in 2025. Currently, Microsoft provides 13 free learning paths, complemented by 4 additional free paths and over 400 individual courses that offer certificates at no cost.
