Our Foundation and Mission
ABC Learning Center is proudly governed by the Rockport Christian Services Association, Inc., a non-profit organization established in 1976. For decades, we have been dedicated to offering exceptional educational programs for preschool children within a Christian setting. Our core mission is to create an atmosphere where children feel secure, valued, and excited to explore the world around them.
Our primary goals and objectives are centered around holistic child development:
- Self-Awareness and Self-Worth: We strive to cultivate each child’s understanding of themselves and build a strong sense of self-esteem.
- Social Development: We provide opportunities for children to develop essential social skills and learn to interact positively within their peer group.
- School Readiness: Our curriculum is designed to introduce fundamental concepts and skills necessary for a successful transition to elementary school.
- Motor Skills Development: We encourage the development of both gross and fine motor skills through various engaging activities.
- Visual and Auditory Skills: We focus on enhancing children’s visual and auditory processing abilities, crucial for learning and communication.
- Vocabulary Enrichment: We aim to expand children’s vocabulary through interactive lessons and language-rich experiences.
Weekly Enrichment Programs
At ABC Learning Center, we believe in providing a well-rounded early education. Our weekly enrichment programs include:
Chapel: A cornerstone of our program is our weekly chapel time. During this special time, children learn about God’s love through classic gospel songs, engaging Bible stories, and a monthly memory verse. Our lessons are thoughtfully designed to be age-appropriate and energetic, covering topics such as creation, prayer, gratitude, the Christmas story, love, resurrection, and forgiveness.
Spanish: To broaden their horizons, we introduce basic Spanish vocabulary, numbers, and colors each week. This early exposure to a second language sparks curiosity and lays a foundation for future language learning.
