The Air Education and Training Command (AETC) has launched myLearning AF, a cutting-edge Learning Management System (LMS) designed to modernize and enhance the training experience for Airmen and Guardians. Accessible through the Air Force Portal, this interactive platform marks a significant leap forward in delivering efficient and engaging educational content. myLearning AF replaces the Advanced Distributed Learning Service (ADLS), offering an upgraded environment for accessing training modules and managing professional development.
Key Features of myLearning AF
This new system prioritizes user experience, providing a streamlined and intuitive interface for approximately 800,000 Total Force users. myLearning AF boasts several key improvements:
- Modernized and Interactive Platform: Moving away from outdated systems, myLearning AF offers a contemporary, engaging learning environment that caters to the needs of today’s tech-savvy Airmen and Guardians.
- Seamless Access to Training Modules: Users can effortlessly access all training modules previously available on ADLS, ensuring continuity in their learning paths.
- Enhanced User Experience: The platform is designed to reduce system stress and improve navigation, making it easier for users to find and complete their required training.
- Automation and Reporting Capabilities: myLearning AF introduces advanced automation and reporting tools, streamlining administrative tasks and providing valuable insights into training progress.
Phased Rollout for Optimal Access
To ensure a smooth transition and optimal system performance, myLearning AF is being launched in a phased approach based on Major Command (MAJCOM) assignments. Users are encouraged to log in and establish their accounts on or after the specified dates for their respective commands, starting from March 18th. The ADLS website will automatically redirect to myLearning AF starting March 27th, completing the migration. While initial logins may not immediately display historical training transcripts, users are assured that data migration is underway and transcripts will be available in myLearning AF soon.
Embracing the Future of Air Force Education
Maj. Gen. Jeannie Leavitt emphasizes the critical role of myLearning AF in adapting to the evolving learning landscape. “Our training systems that support Force Development must be relevant to today’s Airmen so we can accelerate the change we need to keep pace with the fast-paced virtual learning world,” she stated. myLearning AF is not just an upgrade; it’s a strategic investment in modernizing Air Force training, empowering personnel with the competencies needed to excel in complex operational environments. This platform signifies a commitment to leveraging modern technology to out-think and out-perform any adversary, ensuring the Air Force remains at the forefront of defense and innovation through continuous learning and development.
