Discover Meadow Crest Early Learning Center Renton: An Inclusive Preschool Program

Meadow Crest Early Learning Center, proudly part of the Renton School District, offers a unique and enriching Inclusive Preschool program designed for children aged 3 to 5. Our center distinguishes itself by fostering a classroom environment that beautifully blends typically developing community peers with students who have special needs, creating a diverse and supportive learning community for all children.

Embracing Inclusive Education for Early Learners

At Meadow Crest, we are committed to inclusive education, believing in the power of learning together. Our program is thoughtfully structured to integrate children from all backgrounds and abilities within the same classroom setting. This inclusive model not only enriches the learning experience for every child but also cultivates understanding, empathy, and acceptance among peers from a young age. Our approach ensures that children with special needs are fully included in all aspects of the preschool program, learning and playing alongside their typically developing classmates.

Accessible and Supportive Program Options

Understanding the diverse needs of families, Meadow Crest Early Learning Center provides accessible program options. For children with special needs who qualify under the Renton School District guidelines, our preschool program is available at no cost, beginning as early as their third birthday. Furthermore, to ease the logistical challenges for these families, transportation services are provided for students with special needs who meet the eligibility criteria.

For community peers, we offer a tuition-based program, currently priced at $237.50 per month. Children must be three years old by August 31st to enroll, with an option for children turning three during the school year to join on a 30-day trial basis. It’s important to note that transportation is not provided by the school district for our community peers in the tuition program. This program is designed for typically developing children; therefore, children with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) are not eligible for the community peer tuition program. We also welcome families residing outside the Renton School District through Choice Transfers, space permitting, specifically for our tuition program.

Expert-Led, Play-Based Learning Environment

Meadow Crest Early Learning Center is staffed by state-certified early childhood special education teachers and dedicated classroom assistants. Our team also includes certified Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP), Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapists (PT), a School Nurse, and a School Psychologist, ensuring comprehensive support for all children. Our classroom program is intentionally designed around play-based learning, recognizing the crucial role of play in early childhood development. Through engaging and age-appropriate play activities, children develop essential skills across various domains. To ensure individualized attention and a conducive learning atmosphere, our class sizes are intentionally kept small, rarely exceeding 16 students.
