In collaboration with GCERT and The Super 30 Principals, RLC organized a two-day training session on January 31st and February 1st. This intensive program brought together 40 principals to delve into essential school management processes. The focus was on practical skills such as effective agenda setting, fostering a congenial school atmosphere, understanding board protocols, and acting as a “spark plug” for school initiatives. The training emphasized practical implementation and scalability, equipping principals to become trainers themselves. Through reflection, interactive Q&A, and hands-on activities, participants were prepared to integrate these practices into schools and clusters across the state, ensuring a cascading impact on the overall learning experience.

Bhutanese Leaders Explore Student Agency at Riverside

From January 29th to February 1st, the Riverside Learning Center hosted 25 vice principals from Bhutan for a transformative Leadership Bootcamp. Over five days, these dynamic school leaders experienced firsthand the strong student agency that is a hallmark of the Riverside learning experience. Participants were particularly impressed by the robust framework built upon Six Pillars: Curriculum, Parent Partnership, Community, Personal & Professional Development, Administration, and Leadership. Inspired by Riverside’s commitment to co-creation, growth mindset, and shared purpose, these leaders are now motivated to implement similar practices in their schools across Bhutan, aiming to cultivate a more engaging and empowering learning experience for their students.

KK Wagh Education Society Explores Future Partnerships

On January 28th, leaders from the KK Wagh Education Society visited RLC for a study tour, exploring potential collaborations and partnerships. Their visit focused on understanding The Riverside School’s unique ecosystem and the HumanE™ Curriculum, which are central to the Riverside learning experience. The leaders gained valuable insights into innovative pedagogical practices and how to strengthen student-teacher relationships, ultimately aiming to enhance school culture and create thriving learning environments within their own group of schools. Principals from MP PM Shri Schools Witness Riverside’s Impact

Riverside welcomed 32 principals from MP PM Shri Schools on January 13th. Their visit provided a comprehensive view of the Riverside learning experience, including classroom observations, participation in congenial activities, and engaging stakeholder meetings designed to address their questions. A student-led workshop further highlighted the school’s emphasis on student agency and leadership. This immersive experience allowed the principals to witness firsthand the practical application of Riverside’s principles and the resulting positive impact on students and the overall school environment.

Board Protocol Training for Allenhouse Public School Teachers

From January 24th to 26th, a standalone training session on Board Protocol was conducted at Allenhouse Public School, Jhansi, engaging 40 teachers. This focused training emphasized the board as a powerful tool to foster intention, audacity, and accountability in teaching and learning. Teachers learned how effective board use can significantly aid in lesson planning, delivery, and student note-taking. The training also highlighted the board’s role in teacher reflection and review, ultimately enhancing the impact of the learning experiences they provide to students.

Exploring Timetabling and School Vision with Rohit and Team

On January 10th, Rohit and his team visited Riverside to explore the intricacies of timetabling and its alignment with a school’s vision. Their visit included a school tour and an insightful conversation with Kiran, allowing them to understand how timetables can be strategically designed to support and enhance the overall learning experience and school goals. This focused exploration highlights the importance of systemic thinking in creating a cohesive educational environment.

Government School Administrators Investigate Resource Management

Vaibhav and Shekhar, administrators from a government school in Mumbai, visited Riverside on January 9th and 10th. Their aim was to understand the operational aspects of the school, focusing on resource management, space utilization, and the coordination between administration and support staff. On January 3rd, Ankur Agarwal visited RLC and ELC Vastrapur to introduce ‘Agastya,’ an AI platform designed for educators. Northstar School, Rajkot, Immerses in the I CAN Mindset

Eleven teachers from Northstar School, Rajkot, undertook an immersion at RLC on December 27th. Their visit included a tour of Riverside School, interactions with leadership, and classroom observations. Witnessing Riverside’s processes, tools, and frameworks in action, they gained a deeper understanding of how to empower students with agency, empathy, and the I CAN mindset. Partner Schools Trained in Client Project and Program of Inquiry

From December 23rd to 24th, 13 leaders from RLC partner schools, Sunderji School, Pune, and Frobel School, Bangladesh, participated in training on two new processes: Client Project and Program of Inquiry. Client Projects connect classroom learning to real-world applications, while the Program of Inquiry focuses on developing meaningful questioning skills. These processes are designed to further enhance student agency and empathy, enriching their existing I CAN spirit and broadening the scope of the learning experience.

Rutvi Vyas and Team Experience Riverside’s Innovative Practices

On December 23rd, Rutvi Vyas and her team visited the Riverside campus for an immersive school tour. They explored Riverside’s innovative practices and engaged in meaningful conversations, culminating in an inspiring interaction with Kiran Ma’am. Bombay International School Explores Service Learning and Citizenship

Deepti Khera from Bombay International School visited Riverside on December 18th to study its impactful work in Service Learning and the Citizenship program. RLC Team Refreshes Processes with APG Teachers

On December 14th, the RLC team conducted an Immersion to refresh key processes, followed by a Coaching Call with 15 APG teachers. Strategies were shared to strengthen practices like Congloms, Congenial relationships, Board Protocol, and Setting the Tone – Closing the Loop. The daily practice of these processes has demonstrably boosted student engagement, curiosity, and collaborative teacher relationships, highlighting the ongoing support RLC provides to enhance the learning experience in partner schools.

GCERT and Super 30 Principals Train SOE Principal-Trainers

GCERT, The Super 30 Principals, and RLC collaborated on December 13th and 14th to organize a two-day training session for 82 S.O.E. Principal-Trainers. The training covered essential processes such as Agenda Setting, Congenial, Board Protocol, and Spark Plug. With an emphasis on implementation and scalability, the sessions aimed to prepare trainers to integrate these practices into schools and clusters across the state through in-depth reflection, interactive Q&A, and practical activities, extending the reach of the Riverside learning experience.

Expanding Reach through Training and Workshops

Riverside Learning Center actively conducts training workshops to disseminate its educational philosophy and practical tools to a wider audience of educators. These workshops are designed to be experiential and impactful, enabling participants to apply Riverside’s principles in their own contexts.

RLC’s master trainers, Shafaq and Jaya, conducted a full-day training at Allen School, Kanpur, on November 30th. Participants engaged in in-depth sessions on Board Protocol, followed by hands-on dry runs and timetabling exercises. The day concluded with insightful Reflections and Closing the Loop activities, ensuring a deeper understanding and practical application of these key processes, contributing to a more structured and effective learning experience.

Super 30 Principals Train SOE Principal-Trainers with RLC Support

From November 27th to 28th, The Super 30 Principals, with RLC’s support, conducted a two-day training for 107 S.O.E. Principal-Trainers. The training focused on processes like Agenda Setting, Congenial, Board Protocol, and Spark Plug. Emphasizing implementation and scaling, the sessions equipped trainers to embed these practices in schools and clusters statewide through rigorous reflection, Q&A, and hands-on learning, amplifying the impact of the Riverside learning experience across a larger educational landscape.

RLC Team Refreshes Processes for Super 30 Principals

On November 23rd, the RLC team engaged Super 30 Principals in a 6-hour training to refresh processes like Conglom, Congenial, Board Protocol, Thinking Skills, Spark Plug, Month-End Celebration, and Reflection. This session was designed to prepare them to become future trainers, scaling these practices to over 1,000 SOE school principals statewide. This initiative demonstrates RLC’s commitment to building capacity and extending its educational model through train-the-trainer programs.

Leadership Bootcamp for Bhutanese Principals at RLC

RLC hosted a 5-day Leadership Bootcamp for 26 Bhutanese principals from November 18th to 22nd, delivering 26 hours of experiential learning. From November 12th to 15th, RLC hosted 12 educators from the Chettinad Group of Schools for the “I CAN Foundation Program,” a transformative 4-day training. Through interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and reflective sessions, participants explored strategies to foster relevance, rigor, relationships, and reflection in classrooms. They gained tools to strengthen teacher-student connections, build positive classroom cultures, and lead with intentionality, equipping them to drive meaningful change and enhance the learning experience in their schools.

The I CAN Foundation Classroom Empowerment Program at Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Mumbai, from October 21st to 24th, brought together 30 leaders and teachers. On October 10th, a cohort of 13 entrepreneurs from The Circle joined Riverside Learning Center for a deep dive into Riverside’s educational vision. Through sessions on graduate profiles, classroom observations, and leadership inspiration, they explored how Riverside’s Key Learning Experiences—like Design Thinking, Client Projects, and Citizenship—shape students beyond academics, making the vision truly come alive. Leaders from Thesis School, Malaysia, completed a 10-day immersion from October 7th to 18th as part of a school partnership program to support their new school setup. Through classroom observations, curriculum discussions, and intensive sessions with school leaders, they gained valuable insights into Riverside’s operational practices and best practices in student learning, teacher development, and parent partnerships.
