Discover the Wonders of Nature at Wolf Ridge Learning Center

Immerse yourself in the natural world at Wolf Ridge Learning Center, a premier destination for environmental education. Since 1971, Wolf Ridge has been a nationally and internationally recognized leader, dedicated to fostering a love and understanding of nature in both children and adults. Our mission is to open minds to the joy and wonder of discovery through direct observation and hands-on participation in naturalist-guided outdoor activities and adventures. We believe in promoting self-awareness, personal growth, and leadership development through experiential learning in the heart of nature.

Our 2,000-acre campus, the spectacular classroom of Wolf Ridge Learning Center, is a haven for learning and exploration. Nestled along the Baptism River, our diverse landscape features creeks, two pristine lakes, and two high peaks, all interwoven with 18 miles of scenic trails through a mixed forest of maple, birch, and spruce. This rich environment teems with wildlife, offering incredible opportunities to spot pine martens, majestic eagles, moose, black bears, white-tailed deer, foxes, wolves, beavers, peregrine falcons, and the hauntingly beautiful loons.

Wolf Ridge Learning Center boasts exceptional facilities designed to enhance the learning experience. These include five dedicated classroom buildings, comfortable dormitories, a welcoming dining hall, a fascinating raptor aviary, a comprehensive library, two auditoriums for presentations and gatherings, two challenging rock-climbing walls, two adventurous outdoor ropes courses, a working farm, and even land on the shores of Lake Superior.

We offer a broad spectrum of year-round environmental and outdoor learning programs at Wolf Ridge Learning Center, catering to diverse interests and age groups.
