Taking Flight with Young Eagles: Inspiring the Eagle to Learn Aviation

Since 1992, the Young Eagles program has been soaring high, dedicating three decades to introducing young individuals aged 8–17 to the wonders of flight through free airplane rides. This unique initiative stands alone in its focused mission: to ignite passion and curiosity for aviation in the hearts of the younger generation, nurturing their inner “Eagle To Learn”.

To date, over 2.5 million young people have experienced the thrill of an introductory flight, thanks to the generosity of EAA member volunteers who embody the spirit of mentorship and “eagle to learn”. These flights are more than just a ride; they are an immersive experience designed to spark a lifelong interest in aviation.

Join us in empowering youth to discover The Spirit of Aviation® and embrace their potential to “eagle to learn” by becoming a Young Eagles volunteer. Your contribution can help shape the future of aviation, one flight at a time.
