All courses at WCSU are automatically provisioned within Blackboard Learn, regardless of the intended teaching format. Faculty members who wish to combine multiple course sections into a single Blackboard Learn course shell can easily submit a Section Merge Request Form. Cross-listed sections are automatically created, simplifying course management for instructors.
Important Information for WCSU Students: While all courses are on Blackboard Learn, not every professor actively utilizes the platform. If you cannot locate your course or find it lacks content, it is essential to contact your instructor directly. They can confirm if Blackboard Learn will be used for the course and when course materials will be made available. Typically, courses become accessible to students on the first day of classes, but instructors have control over content visibility.

Blackboard Learn 9.1 is the current e-learning system employed at Western Connecticut State University.
