Does LinkedIn Learning Show on Your Profile?

Adding LinkedIn Learning certificates to your profile showcases your newly acquired skills and professional development to your network. This article explains how to display your completed LinkedIn Learning courses and learning paths directly on your LinkedIn profile.

How to Display LinkedIn Learning Certificates on Your Profile

Upon completing a LinkedIn Learning course or learning path, you’ll be prompted to add the corresponding certificate and relevant skills to your LinkedIn profile. However, you can also add them manually later. Here’s a step-by-step guide for desktop users:

  1. Access Your Learning History: Log into LinkedIn Learning and navigate to your profile picture in the top right corner. Select “My Library” and then click on “Learning History.”

  2. Add Certificate to Profile: Find the completed course or learning path you wish to add. Click the “More (…)” option next to its title and select “Add to profile.” If you haven’t finished the course, this option will be unavailable. Ensure every video within the course has a green checkmark indicating completion.

  3. Sharing Options: A confirmation window will appear. You can choose to share your accomplishment with your network by checking the “Share with network” box. Customize your audience by selecting “Connections” for your first-degree connections only or “Individuals” to share with specific people.

  4. Add Skills (Optional): The confirmation window also displays suggested skills associated with the course. These will be added to your profile’s Skills section. You can deselect any skills you don’t want to add. Note that you can have a maximum of 100 skills listed on your profile.

  5. Confirmation: Click “Add to Profile” to finalize the process. The “Add to profile” button in your Learning History will then change to “On your profile”.

For LinkedIn Learning app users, the process is similar:

  1. Go to My Courses: Open the app and tap the “My Courses” icon.

  2. View Learning History: Scroll to the “Learning History” section and tap “See all” to view your complete course history.

  3. Add to Profile: Locate the desired course and tap “Add to profile.” Ensure all videos have been watched and marked complete.

  4. Confirm: In the pop-up window, tap “Add to profile.”

Troubleshooting

If a completed course doesn’t appear in your Learning History:

  • Verify Completion: Ensure each video has a green checkmark.
  • Refresh Page: Refresh your Learning History page.
  • Clear Cache and Cookies: If the issue persists, clear your browser’s cache and cookies.

Important Considerations

  • PDF Certificates: You can download PDF certificates for completed courses and learning paths, but not for individual videos or collections.
  • Deleting Learning History: You can delete your learning history even after adding courses to your profile.
  • Skill Limit: Your LinkedIn profile has a limit of 100 skills.

Successfully completing LinkedIn Learning courses and displaying them on your profile demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and enhances your professional brand. It allows you to highlight your expertise and attract potential opportunities.
