Accessing Your Early Learning Coalition Account: Registration and Event Management Guide

Navigating your professional development and learning opportunities with the Early Learning Coalition is designed to be straightforward. All registrations for IECP learning events and workshops are handled through our online platform, requiring a personal account for access. This system ensures a streamlined process for everyone, managing registrations on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited seating in our valuable learning events. Whether you are paying for a workshop or attending a free session, an online account is your central hub for all learning event registrations.

Registration for Learning Events and Workshops

To participate in any of the Early Learning Coalition’s (ELC) learning events or workshops, registration is mandatory and exclusively conducted online. Our online platform is the gateway to all IECP learning opportunities. Creating an account is a simple process and is essential for securing your spot in any learning event, regardless of whether a fee is involved. Remember, spaces are limited, so timely registration through your online account is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Payment Procedures

For learning events that require a fee, the online platform facilitates secure payment processing at the time of your registration. This integrated system ensures a smooth and efficient payment experience, allowing you to complete your registration and payment in one seamless process through your Early Learning Coalition account.

Registration Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Should you need to cancel your registration for a learning event, we offer a cancellation window. Registrants can cancel up to 48 hours before the scheduled start of the learning event. Upon cancellation within this timeframe, a full refund will be credited back to the online account you have on file. This policy ensures fairness and allows others on waiting lists to potentially participate.

Learning Event Cancellation Policy

In certain circumstances, the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County (ELCHC) may need to cancel a learning event, typically due to insufficient registration numbers. While we strive to avoid cancellations, in the event a session is cancelled, all registered participants will be promptly notified via email. Furthermore, a full credit will be automatically applied to your online account, ready for use towards another learning event.

Attendance Guidelines

To maximize your learning experience and ensure sessions begin promptly, we encourage all participants to log in virtually or arrive in person 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time of your learning event. Please be aware that participants arriving more than 15 minutes after the session’s start time will not be admitted. This policy is in place to minimize disruption and ensure a quality learning environment for all attendees. Partial in-service credit may be offered in certain applicable situations; however, please note that make-up sessions are not available for any learning event.

Our Commitment to Non-Discrimination

The IECP and ELCHC are firmly committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all learners. In accordance with our anti-discrimination policy, we do not discriminate against any individual based on race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, disability/handicap, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, or age in any aspect of our learning events, training workshops, or professional development programs. The ELCHC is also dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities, handicaps, and/or religious beliefs.

Accommodations for Disabilities (ADA Compliance)

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we are committed to ensuring our learning events are accessible to everyone. If you require reasonable accommodations due to a disability or handicap, please contact us at 813.515.2340 at least seven business days prior to the scheduled learning event to allow us sufficient time to arrange the necessary support.

Learner Security and Privacy

Protecting the privacy of our learners is paramount. As registration for all learning events is managed through our secure online learning platform, access to your records is restricted from public view. Learners have the ability to access and obtain copies of their certifications and review their demographic/contact information within their account. For online support or assistance in accessing your records, please call 813.515.2340. For security verification at in-person learning events, learners are required to present a valid state or government-issued photo ID.

Proprietary Interest Disclosure

To ensure transparency and ethical conduct, the ELCHC has a policy regarding proprietary interests. Individuals participating in our learning events have the right to be informed about any proprietary interest a trainer or instructor may have in a product or service discussed during the session. All trainers and instructors are required to disclose any proprietary interest in any product, instrument, device, service, and/or materials discussed, as well as the source of any compensation related to their presentation.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and In-service Hours

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) may be awarded for learning events that are three hours or longer in duration. Shorter learning events, less than three hours, will be recognized with in-service hours upon successful completion. CEUs are granted upon successful completion of the learning event, which includes arriving on time, attending all required sessions, actively participating, and completing all related assignments and/or surveys as specified by the trainer or instructor. For online training sessions, an engagement score of 75% or higher is required, and cameras must be turned on at all times – no exceptions. The participant’s name displayed during online training must match the name used during registration. Details regarding any required assignments or surveys will be outlined in the Training Description on our online platform. Learners are encouraged to contact trainers or instructors for any clarifications needed regarding successful completion requirements. In-service hours will be awarded if the requirements for CEUs are not fully met. Please note that training sessions may be recorded for educational purposes.

Achievement Bonus Opportunities

Educators teaching in Hillsborough County may be eligible for an achievement bonus by participating in our learning events. To qualify, you must meet all course requirements, including pre/post assessments, homework assignments, reflection activities, and LMS instructor evaluations (if applicable). Please note that each individual is limited to four training achievement bonuses per training cycle, and bonuses are not awarded for previously completed coursework. Additionally, a completed W9 form must be submitted, and the address on the form must match the address associated with your LMS account. For any questions regarding achievement bonuses, please contact Abbey Landa at [email protected].

Certificate of Completion

Upon successful conclusion of a learning event or training program, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate can be conveniently accessed and retrieved from your individual online LMS account, serving as official documentation of your professional development.

Child Care Arrangements

Please be aware that all learning events and training sessions are designed for adult audiences. Therefore, we kindly request that all registrants make necessary childcare arrangements to ensure their focused participation in the learning event. Childcare services are not provided at the learning event locations.
