Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) is streamlining access to all online resources, including Ftcc Blackboard Learn, with important updates that students need to know. Starting October 26, 2023, a single username and password will be used for all FTCC platforms, simplifying your login experience. This unified login system applies to Student Email, Self-Service, Blackboard, e-Trieve, campus computers, and Wi-Fi.
Your login credentials will be your Active Directory (AD) username and password, which you may already be familiar with from accessing Self-Service and FTCC Blackboard Learn. This consistency aims to make navigating FTCC’s digital environment more intuitive and efficient for all students.
To further enhance security, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is being introduced on November 1, 2023. Students are encouraged to enroll in MFA at their earliest convenience by following the Multi-factor Authentication Directions. FTCC recommends using the Microsoft Authenticator app for this process. Setting up Microsoft Self Service Password Reset (SSPR) is also advisable. SSPR allows you to reset your password independently, without needing to contact the IT Service Desk, saving you time and ensuring uninterrupted access to FTCC Blackboard Learn and other resources.
The FTCC Blackboard Learn login process itself will see a change starting October 17, 2023. On the login page, you will now find a “Sign in with third-party account” option located below the main login button. Selecting this and then choosing “FTCC AD Login” is the new step for accessing Blackboard if you have an FTCC email account.
When you encounter the login screen, remember to input your full FTCC student email address (e.g., xxxxxxx####@student.faytechcc.edu) along with your AD password for authentication.

Important Information for Spring 2025 Semester Students
For students starting in the Spring 2025 semester, which begins on January 13th, your courses on FTCC Blackboard Learn will become accessible at midnight on January 13th. Ensure you are ready to log in and access your course materials from the start of the semester.
Login Instructions for New Students Enrolling in FTCC Blackboard Learn
If you are a new student, your initial login credentials are as follows:
Username: Use the first seven letters of your last name, followed by the first letter of your first name, and then the last four digits of your Student ID.
Password: Your password is your date of birth in MMDDYYYY format. If you have already logged into Self-Service, your password will be your Active Directory password.
