Kidstown Learning Center offers an engaging and safe after-school care program designed for kindergarten through 5th graders. Registration for the 2024-25 school year is now open, with Kidstown starting on August 28th!

- Transportation from Mercer Island Schools: For families in the Mercer Island School District, we offer convenient transportation directly from local elementary schools to Kidstown Learning Center.
- Shuttle Service to Enrichment Classes & Swim Lessons: We make it easy for your child to participate in additional activities by providing shuttle service to enrichment classes and swim lessons.

Flexible Schedules to Suit Your Family’s Needs
We understand that families have varying schedules, which is why Kidstown Learning Center offers flexible options to accommodate your needs. You can sign up for care from one to five days per week each month, or utilize our drop-in care service as needed.
Our Daily Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM
- Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Please note that Kidstown Learning Center is closed on major holidays and Mercer Island school closures. We also offer exciting School’s Out Camps during these times!
Need to adjust your schedule? We kindly request a 30-day advance notice for any schedule changes.
Transparent and Affordable Rates
Kidstown Learning Center offers competitive and transparent monthly rates. Below is a breakdown of our pricing structure for the 2024-25 school year:

Rates listed are monthly. Additional fees apply for Wednesday early release and district half-days ($54 members / $60 guests) and Early Dismissal Days ($25 members / $28 guests).

Drop-in care requires registration at least 24 hours in advance.
Making Kidstown Learning Center Accessible to All
At Kidstown Learning Center and the SJCC, we believe in creating an inclusive and welcoming community. Need-based financial assistance is available to ensure that all families have access to our programs. We encourage you to learn more and apply for financial aid if needed.
Convenient Transportation Options
Getting your child to Kidstown Learning Center is easy and stress-free:
- Mercer Island School District (MISD) Students: Students from all Mercer Island elementary schools can take the school bus directly to the SJCC. Kidstown counselors will be there to greet them at the bus stop. Please contact your school to arrange bus transportation.
- French American School of Puget Sound (FASPS) Students: A Kidstown counselor will pick up students directly from FASPS and walk them to the SJCC.
- Early Childhood School (ECS) Students: Kindergarten students at the SJCC’s Early Childhood School will be picked up from their classroom and brought to Kidstown.
- Students from Other Schools: Parents are welcome to drop off their children directly at the SJCC.
