Kingsway Learning Center Relocates from Haddonfield to Voorhees Campus

After serving special needs students for over half a century in Haddonfield and Moorestown, Kingsway Learning Center is excited to announce the relocation of its programs to a new, consolidated campus in Voorhees, New Jersey. This move marks a significant step in the center’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality education and services for individuals with special needs.

Kingsway Learning Center, a pillar in special needs education for 52 years, is consolidating its preschool, elementary, and secondary programs to a larger, more modern facility. The new campus, situated at 1000 Voorhees Drive, Voorhees, NJ, is a spacious 73,000-square-foot building ready to welcome 175 students for the upcoming 2018-19 school year. This relocation from the long-time Haddonfield and Moorestown locations is designed to enhance the learning environment and better accommodate the growing needs of its student population.

Reasons for the Move to Voorhees

According to Kingsway Learning Center CEO Christine Robinson, the move is driven by the need for expansion and improved facilities. The secondary program, in particular, has experienced rapid growth since its inception a decade ago and has reached its capacity in Moorestown. The Haddonfield campus, which has been home to the elementary program for over 40 years in a building that formerly housed St. Mary of the Angels Academy, is no longer optimally suited for the evolving needs of today’s special needs student population. The Voorhees location offers a larger, more adaptable space to meet these challenges and facilitate future growth for Kingsway Learning Center and its students coming from 60 districts across Cumberland and Mercer counties.

A New Chapter in Voorhees

The decision to move all programs to Voorhees represents a change from initial plans, which considered the location only for an adult vocational training program. However, after a comprehensive search for a building that could better serve the entire Kingsway community, the Voorhees site emerged as the ideal solution. While details regarding the acquisition of the Voorhees building from Hub Properties Trust and the future of the Haddonfield and Moorestown sites remain undisclosed, the focus is firmly on the positive impact of this consolidation.

Voorhees Township is anticipated to be a welcoming new home for Kingsway Learning Center. The township’s reputation as a supportive community further reinforces the positive outlook for this transition. Kingsway Learning Center, originally founded in 1966 in a Cherry Hill church, looks forward to continuing its mission of providing individualized services for students with learning and developmental disabilities in its new, expanded campus.

This relocation signifies Kingsway Learning Center’s ongoing dedication to adapting and evolving to best serve its students and their families for many years to come, building upon its strong foundation established in Haddonfield and Moorestown.
