The 21st Century Scholar Pledge: Your Commitment to Success

Every 21st Century Scholar is expected to make a formal commitment to the program by signing the 21st Century Scholar Pledge. This pledge underscores the scholar’s dedication to fulfilling the program’s requirements and striving for academic excellence.

By signing, each scholar pledges:

  • To graduate with, at minimum, a Core 40 diploma from a state-accredited high school in Indiana.
  • To actively participate in and complete the Scholar Success Program in both high school and college, utilizing its resources to stay focused on college and career goals.
  • To maintain a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, demonstrating consistent academic effort.
  • To abstain from illegal drugs, alcohol, and any criminal or delinquent behavior, upholding responsible conduct.
  • To apply for admission to an eligible Indiana college during their senior year of high school and to apply for student financial aid in a timely manner, taking proactive steps towards higher education.
  • As a college student, to complete at least 30 credit hours each academic year to ensure progress towards on-time degree completion.
  • To aim for success in all endeavors, embodying a proactive and driven approach to their education and future.
