That note right in the center of the staff is Middle C. Sit in the middle of your piano. Let’s locate Middle C and familiarize ourselves with the piano keys.

Here’s a helpful tip for beginners learning to play the piano: The Treble Clef (the top part of the staff) represents higher-pitched notes, while the Bass Clef (the bottom part) represents lower-pitched notes. The treble clef notes (higher notes) correspond to the piano keys to the right of Middle C and are typically played with your right hand, unless a piece of music indicates otherwise.
