Important Immunization Reminder for 7th Grade Students

A critical health reminder for parents of students entering the 7th grade at Tracy Learning Center: California law requires all students entering 7th grade to provide proof of a Tdap vaccine (pertussis – Whooping Cough Booster). To meet this requirement, the vaccination must have been administered on or after your child’s 7th birthday.

Action Required Now for Current 7th Graders: If your child has not yet received their Tdap booster post their 7th birthday, it is essential to get them vaccinated NOW. Ensure your child is up-to-date with this required immunization to guarantee class placement and avoid exclusion from school when classes resume.

We strongly encourage you to contact your physician and schedule a vaccination appointment as soon as possible. During the appointment, remember to inquire about any other recommended vaccines for your child and bring their yellow immunization card. Please provide a copy of ALL updated immunization records to the school before the start of the next school year.

For any questions regarding this requirement, please contact your primary physician or the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Program at (209) 468-3481. Students who have not completed all required school immunizations will not be permitted to attend campus classes.

Stay informed and prepared for a successful year at Tracy Learning Center! Regularly checking these announcements ensures you won’t miss any important updates or opportunities.
