Comprehensive Childcare and Preschool Programs
Trinity Early Learning Center is dedicated to providing a holistic early childhood education. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to meet and exceed the Illinois Learning Standards, ensuring your child receives a robust educational foundation. We integrate our unique SCEWD approach – focusing on Social/Spiritual, Communicative Arts, Expressive Arts, Wellness & Discovery – into our daily curriculum. This comprehensive framework, combined with daily “Jesus Time” and weekly Chapel sessions throughout the academic year, creates a well-rounded and enriching experience for every child in our care.
Age-Appropriate Learning Environments
We recognize that children develop at their own pace and have distinct needs at different stages. Our programs are carefully structured by age group to provide tailored learning experiences:
Infants (Genesis Program: 6 weeks to 15 months) & Toddlers (Psalms Program: 15 months to 2 years)
From the earliest age, we recognize an infant’s innate capacity to learn. Our infant and toddler programs (Genesis and Psalms) are designed to stimulate development through social interaction and sensory experiences. Our nurturing caregivers focus on creating a predictable and comfortable environment where infants can explore textures, sounds, and sights. We prioritize responsive care, ensuring no child is left unattended and that every need is met with love and patience. With a 4:1 child-to-staff ratio for infants up to 15 months, and a 5:1 ratio for toddlers (15-24 months), your little one receives focused attention and care. We emphasize motor skills, language development, cognitive growth, and social-emotional development through play, communication, and consistent, loving interactions.
2’s Preschool (Acts Program) & Preschool (Kings Program)
As children progress into our 2’s Preschool (Acts) and Preschool (Kings) programs, we build upon their natural curiosity and growing attention spans with a more structured yet explorative environment. These programs cater to children aged 2 to 5 years, with a 1:8 teacher-to-student ratio in Acts and 1:10 in Kings. Our curriculum emphasizes cognitive skills, incorporating pre-reading, reading, mathematical, and scientific concepts. Creative arts, music, and Bible truths are also integral parts of the daily learning experience. We believe in learning by doing, providing a safe and supervised setting where children can explore, experiment, and grow socially, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually. Potty training is a prerequisite for transitioning to the Kings (3’s/4’s) class.
Pre-Kindergarten (Romans Program)
Our Pre-Kindergarten (Romans) program is designed for children aged 4 to 5, preparing them for kindergarten with a 1:10 teacher-to-child ratio. We focus on refining pre-reading skills and building a strong foundation for future academic success. The curriculum is enriched with art, music, dramatic play, learning centers, and motor skill activities, providing a stimulating and fulfilling pre-kindergarten year. We post schedules on the Parent Information Board to keep you informed and involved in your child’s learning journey.
