Upon clicking +Announcement, you will be presented with a straightforward screen. Here, you can input a clear and concise Topic Title for your announcement in the designated field. Below the title, an editor window awaits your message content. Utilize this space to type out your announcement, ensuring all necessary details are included. Once your message is complete, simply scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save. This action will immediately send your announcement to your students.
Your newly created announcement will then be posted on the Announcements page within Bruin Learn, making it readily accessible to students within the course site. Crucially, Bruin Learn also automatically sends a copy of each announcement directly to the official UCLA email addresses of all students in your course. Bruin Learn New Analytics Interface
In the People section of your Bruin Learn course menu, you can access a comprehensive list of all users associated with your course. The column labeled “Login ID” displays each user’s UCLA Login ID. While this ID mirrors the format of an email address, it’s not always the email address where Canvas notifications are directed.
To ascertain the specific email addresses students have chosen for Canvas notifications, Bruin Learn provides the New Analytics feature. Located on the right side of your course Home page, clicking the “New Analytics” link and then selecting the “Students” tab at the top of the subsequent page will reveal the email addresses students have configured for Canvas notifications.
